ORIGIN
ACKNOWLEDGES ARMENIAN
GENOCIDE
A German Bundestag member of Turkish
origin from the left PDS party has signed under a party
resolution
recognizing effectively the Armenian genocide planned and
carried
out by the government of Turkey between 1915-1923.
The Turkish Anatolia news agency said the
delegate, Hakr Keskin,
was until lately a staunch denier of the Armenian genocide. It
says
Keskin declared publicly during the party's conference in Bremen

the mass annihilation of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire were
genocide. Anatolia news agency quoted another German Bundestag
member of
Turkish descent, Sevim Dagdelen as saying it was not clear
whether
Keskin would revise his ties with Taleat Pasha party of Rauf

Northern
Cyprus whose support he used to enjoy.

MARK PARRIS: THIS TIME CONGRESS
TO ADOPT
RESOLUTION ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
U.S. ex-ambassador to Turkey Mark R. Parris
said that
this time the U.S. Congress will adopt a resolution on the
Armenian
Genocide. "This resolution will be put in the Congress agenda by
100
%. It is very possible that the resolution will be approved both
in
the House of Representatives and Senate. Turkey traditionally
hopes on
support of political parties in Washington, but for some reasons
that
very assistance can weaken. The Democrats sympathize the
Armenian issue
very much," stated Mark R. Parris. "Will a resolution on the
Armenian
Genocide be adopted. Yes, it will. Every one knows that that
resolution
will complicate relations, but it does not mean the American
policy
will change. The American policy is not ready to use certain
terms yet.
